An unboxing | ShelfLoveCrate August 2017

Okay, I am officially obsessed with this book box subscription.  I mean, I already knew what the book was going to be for this month’s theme (Wild Heart) – okay so it was really just a good guess – and I read an egalley of it and was disappointed in it but this box still blew me away.  Not only does ShelfLoveCrate do an amazing job of sticking to the themes they choose as well as the book, they also just make everything so aesthetically pleasing. ❤

Alright, spoilers ahead for what was inside the box:

So this month’s theme, like I said, was “Wild Heart” and I easily guessed what the book was going to be.  Right off the bat, let me just say, I adore their packaging.  On the outside the box is plain, but inside it’s this pretty blue-green with the words “Your magical journey starts now…” on the inside lid, and everything is wrapped neatly in tissue paper and tied with a string.  So cute!

So here is what was in the box this month:

  • The book of the month, Wicked Like a Wildfire by Lana Popvic (my review of it is here)
  • Butterfly magnets!
  • A candle from Muggle Library Candles made specifically for this book
  • A wishbone necklace (Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor)
  • A pillowcase with a quote from And I Darken by Kiersten White
  • An Aelin bookmark
  • A beautiful postcard from their monthly artist
  • And of course the author’s letter with the beautiful print on the back of it.

Sadly I kind of already threw out the card with all of the info on it so I can’t remember who did what because I’m an idiot (and by threw out I mean in the trash bin outside because tomorrow is trash day and it’s been…building up in my room, sorry not sorry).  So once they put up their final unboxing on their instagram I will try to remember to come back here and either edit or link it up so everyone can get the credit they deserve.

Once again, and gorgeous box from ShelfLoveCrate.  If you want to try out a book box subscription, I definitely recommend this one.

  1. Ever since I got a pillow cote in my FairyLoot box, I want MORE, haha!

This box looks amazing, but I’m already holding my heart to see what shipping costs are like to get it.. 45€ for both the box and shipping.. Maybe I’ll do it once, some day..

    1. Lol totally understandable. I’ve been holding off on FairyLoot myself despite how beautiful it always is because for me it would be $50 (US) for the box and shipping.

If you do ever find yourself with the extra money though and want to buy one I would use one of their rep’s coupon codes (as long as they work internationally) on instagram! They only work for your first purchase, but it’s so much better to get a discount when you just want to try it.

      1. It’s a shame those boxes are always expensive as soon as you have to add shipping to it.. On the other hand, I’d probably get myself way to many subscriptions if it weren’t the case, haha!

I’m definitely going to do that! Money saved that way is more money to buy other books.. 😀

      2. It is, but unfortunately they don’t have any control over that – it’s all in the postal service, I’m sure. And yeah, I do see it as a good thing sometimes – for my bank account at least.

And so true! While they stuff to go with it is always nice and fun, books are always the best 🙂
