Personal

So about those reading habit changes…

You know how I recently decided to start reading for myself and my mood and just, not try to cram in egalleys before their publish date?  Yeah that’s a laugh.

I’m the children’s lead at my local BN and they just announced the YA Book Club and I know I’m going to be running it (especially since I love YA).  Technically I don’t have to read the books, I’m just there to facilitate and get the discussion rolling, but it would be stupid not to.  Also the first three books are already on my TBR anyway.

It’s just the fact that I just made the decision to go back to reading for me and now I have three books lined up that I need to read before a certain date again.

And then there is BookCon and the fact that some of the authors I want to meet and get autographs from have books I haven’t read yet and that I really want to before meeting them.  If I even get autographing tix for them (here’s crossing fingers for Meg Cabot and Eoin Colfer, my top two choices).

But I’m not going to think about that today because I just came off of one hellish tech week (where each night ended around 11 or 12 and I ended up getting 5 hours of sleep each night, maybe less), and I just need a day to not really think about anything so I am just catching up on some TV shows instead.

Like, I am more than happy that there is going to be a YA Book Club for BN now, but also I’m just sighing internally because lol I tried.
