The cover for the final Diviners book has been revealed…and no, I’m not happy.

Well, the final cover for the last book in The Diviners series by Libba Bray was revealed today!  (I only just discovered it though oops).  I haven’t read the synopsis yet because I still haven’t um read book three yet (I’ll get there…just need to reread the other two first…after I read everything else on TBR apparently…) and I don’t want to get spoiled (and of course I saw part of the first sentence and am already WTFing out of my mind and trying to erase what I saw from my memory).

But anyway here are all four covers that I will be owning when the last one comes out apparently!

So on the one hand – yay!  They finally stopped doing cover redesigns!

On the other hand – why the hell didn’t they continue the cover redesigns??  At this point I might as well keep the non-matching cover aesthetic of this series cause why the hell not?  Continue reading “The cover for the final Diviners book has been revealed…and no, I’m not happy.”

2018 Reading Round Up

Here it is!  My 2018 Reading Round Up!  This year I tried to complete a few challenges, and while I didn’t complete them all, I am still content with what I did.  I started listening to audiobooks more this year and actually got really into them which is a plus, too.

First book read this year: Reign of the Fallenby Sarah Glenn Marsh
Final book read this year: Rosemarkedby Livia Blackburne

Anticipated Reads | 2018 Edition (The first half, anyway…)

Since it’s basically December and there aren’t any releases coming out that I am highly anticipating, I am going to do my 2018 Anticipated Reads now instead!  I’m just going to stick with the first half of the year for now, though, to keep things simple.

20181

Gunslinger Girlby Lyndsay Ely – Okay so I did just finish this one yesterday, so it’s not so much an anticipated read as it is an OMG ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR NOW read.  I loved this book.  It took me by surprise.  It’s got a little bit of the Wild West, a lot of Las Vegas and politics, and some sideshow/Moulin Rouge vibes thrown in as well.  Pity is a great protagonist, the characters are remarkably complex, and it just hooked me in and pulled me along from start to finish.

Unearthedby Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner – This is basically Indiana Jones in space, right?  Because I am so here for it.  I spent my childhood watching Indiana Jones religiously, and of course I love all things sci-fi and space.  So this is definitely one I am going to be making grabby hands for.

Anticipated Reads | October 2017

Oh, look, October is in…2 days.  Sorry this is kind of late, I’ve been a little distracted lately and kind of only just realized how close we are to the end of September.  Anyway, let’s look at some books that are coming out in October that I am really looking forward to.

October 1st

The Goblins of Bellwater, by Molly Ringle – I’ve discovered that I’m not one for goblins and fair folk stories it seems, and yet the storylines keep intriguing me.  Take this one, for instance – I actually came across it at work this morning because it was shelved on the wrong cart, and reading the synopsis it sounded kind of interesting.  It reminded me a little of The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black, which is one of the few fair folk/goblin stories I’ve read that I really enjoyed.  So, who knows, I might find another one I enjoy. Anticipated Reads | September 2017

We are halfway through August already, can you believe it?!!  I’m on vacation next week so I am currently counting down the days till then.  In the meantime, I wanted to share some books that I am most excited for which are coming out this September.  September through November tend to see a lot of new releases in anticipation of the holiday season, so of course, I have plenty on my list as well.

September 5th

The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Reddingby Alexandra Bracken – I’m not going to lie, the name “Alexandra Bracken” is kind of a key factor in why I am eagerly anticipating this book, but also the demon-possession aspect sounds pretty darn cool too.   Continue reading “Anticipated Reads | September 2017”
