Books Read This Month | September 2017

September is over, so it’s time to look back at what I read this month!  Which was…not a lot sadly.

I managed to read 5 books, apparently, only 1 of which counts for the Beat the Backlist challenge.  These would be:

• Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1), by Kerri Maniscalco
• Jane, Unlimited, by Kristin Cashore
• Hunting Prince Dracula (Stalking Jack the Ripper #2), by Kerri Maniscalco
• Speak Easy, Speak Love, by McKelle George
• An Enchantment of Ravens, by Margaret Rogerson

All of them except for SJTR were an egalley or ARC.  Of them all, I most enjoyed Speak Easy, Speak Love and Jane, Unlimited (which was actually a nice surprise because I didn’t think I was going to like that one at all.  I didn’t not enjoy any of the books I read this month, either, which was nice for once.

 

 

Anticipated Reads | September 2017

We are halfway through August already, can you believe it?!!  I’m on vacation next week so I am currently counting down the days till then.  In the meantime, I wanted to share some books that I am most excited for which are coming out this September.  September through November tend to see a lot of new releases in anticipation of the holiday season, so of course, I have plenty on my list as well.

September 5th

The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding, by Alexandra Bracken – I’m not going to lie, the name “Alexandra Bracken” is kind of a key factor in why I am eagerly anticipating this book, but also the demon-possession aspect sounds pretty darn cool too.
